I joined Friends of the Center for Families in 2012, after having previously worked with the organization while a staff member at the Center for Families. As a new mom myself I am very excited to help as a parent and community member and support the amazing work and programs the Center for Families offers.

I first heard of the Center for Families when my daughter was born in 2001, and I took her to a wonderful baby group there that provided me with much-needed support and connection. Several of the parents and kids I met in that group are still friends today! As the years went on, I took advantage of the many great programs at the Center, and I saw what an important resource it was to me personally and to the community at large. I got involved with the Friends of the Center for Families in 2010, because I believe that if the Center can maintain and expand its offerings, families get stronger and kids get long-lasting benefits from that strength!

I am a converted believer in all things Cambridge. The City of Cambridge is an adopted home for me, the childhood home of my husband, and the City where my son was born. Cambridge is an incredible place. I joined the Friends of the Center for Families because I want to lend my time and talents to help the community. I am the founder and CEO of a non-profit consulting firm that works to help non-profits of all size realize their goals from financial to strategic. I'm thrilled to bring that work to the Center as a volunteer.

As a former employee of Center for families, and mother of 3 lovely children. I'm fully aware of all of the great activities, including benefits and support offered through CFF. I joined FCFF in 2010 to give back to this amazing program and my community. As a long time Cambridge resident, my family and I are truly blessed to have Center for Families as a part of our village. I believe in the African proverbs "It takes a village to raise a child." With that said, when families are connected to programs like the Center for Families, the education, resources, support and connection helps the whole family. Parents and providers benefit a great deal as they are on their parenting journey. Team CFF!

I have been volunteering my time to the Friends of the Center for Families from conception to incorporation and beyond. I volunteer with gratitude, because as a Family Child Care Provider and Educator I have been availing of the preschool Programs that the Center For Families offers for years. My emphasis has always been on the children enrolled in my program socializing and interacting with the children in the community around them and the wonderful services offered by the CFF allow them to do just that.

The Center For Families has been a great resource for me and my daughter. I heard about the Center For Families when I first took my daughter to the infant massage program. We've participated in a number of playgroups and programs and have had wonderful experiences. I love the amazing community aspect. For me it's being able to connect with other parents, whether it's at playgroup or park, and for my daughter, it's making friends and seeing her play happily with other children from the community. I am excited to give back to the Friends of the Center for Family, and looking forward to supporting and helping FCFF to be a stronger presence in our community.
